Curriculum

We currently offer the following curriculum for poker instruction in addition to our One Day and Three Day Poker Schools.

Hold’em 101: Texas Hold’em basics tauht by poker professionals. A good refresher for long time players and a perfect introduction for those new and novice, the class focuses on playing text book Hold’em. This class runs 30-60 minutes and is followed by a freeroll tournament. Prizes are awarded to the best players by the tournament staff.

Hold’em 102: This seminar is perfect for beginner through intermediate players. We offer 60 minutes of  detailed leader led and video instruction and a Q and A session with poker professionals. Topics covered include bluffing, calculating pot odds and “outs”, playing from various positions (early, middle, on the button) and tournament strategy. Players then get to test their new skills in a live freeroll poker tournament. Prizes are awarded to the best players by the tournament staff.

Hold’em 201: This seminar picks up where Hold’em 102 left off. Players learn more advanced techniques like bluff outs, reading players (tells and betting patterns), extraction betting, short handed and head up play. This 60 minute seminar concludes with a live freeroll tournament to test your advanced skills. Prizes are awarded to the best players by the tournament staff.

Introduction to Omaha 101: Omaha is becoming one of the fastest growing forms of poker all across the country. Similiar to Hold’em but with more cards and much more action, Omaha is famous for its large pots and big hands. Come learn how to play risk free in a 60 minute introductory class. This seminar concludes with a live freeroll tournament to test your Pot Limit Omaha skills. Prizes are awarded to the best players by the tournament staff.
